Video
"Video" can come from a number of sources. Obviously the first is video footage shot with a video camera. Additional sources include 3D animation, still images and text with transitions and motion added, and motion graphics. These examples cover pretty much each of these.
Demo Reel - Work in ProcessThis is a demo reel I am currently working on for my technical marketing communications/agency. It is an incomplete work in process; the segments are build in Adobe® After Effects®, and assembled in Apple® Final Cut Pro®. |

The client needed a fun, light, and educational Flash intro to their website that would highlight the difficulties of learning a new language. A brief "history" of the technologies and techniques for language learning was to be incorporated as well. A script and voiceover were written and recorded. Characters and props were developed to help convey the overall story. The final animation runs 1:56. The animation was built in Adobe® After Effects® at HD resolution, and converted to Flash video. |

This is an excerpt from a video tutorial for a hand-held documenting process calibrator. The full tutorial is about 20 minutes. The video was shot on green screen and the lab background was composited in. Effects were added in Adobe® After Effects®. |

This video is a facility tour that was build in Adobe® Flash®. Not a video in the strictest sense, the images were taken from still photographs. The voiceover, soundbed, transitions and effects were added directly in Flash. |

The source for this video is a rendering from a 3D animation sequence I created (see Animation and Motion Graphics.) Not video from a video camera, but video never the less. |
This is a low-budget video shoot to document the operation of a packaging machine prior to shipment. This particular machine is used in a pharmaceutical application, where it loads each bottle with a dessicant packet. The low-budget part of this project was the bare-bones, available light shooting on the factory floor. Not the best environment, nor the best results, but sufficient for the client's needs. |
